Being part of a religious community is very important to me.

It gives a sense of belonging, structure and purpose to my life

But it is worth asking yourself…
Is it more than a set of traditions or vague spiritual practices for you?
Do the rituals or prayers themselves give you true value?
The truth is, it is possible for even the most religious person to be empty.
They may even be full of ugliness in their heart, just like the description below:
For you are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people’s bones and all sorts of impurity. Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness.
Matthew 23:27b-28

True worship

None of us want to spend our lives committed to something that turns out to be empty.
Religious practices alone are external.
Prayer is only a mental and emotional exercise if the one you pray to is not living and true.
So forget HOW you worship for a moment and ask WHO you worship.
Who deserves your worship more than the one who made you?

You are worthy, our Lord and God!
You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power.
You are worthy because you created all things.
Revelation 4:11a

Relationship Over Religion

The truth is, your core identity is given by your Creator. And the good news is that the God who created you values you highly and loves you personally.

God desires people with hearts that know and love him. This is more important to him than your religious expression of worship.

Are you ready to know the one true God and find out about his love for you?
